The President's Challenge program provides me with a FREE software to enter my student's data. It also allows me to generate reports of their data.
Fitnessgram software would cost $414.00 per school year in my school (based on the number of students). The price would increase if we were to do it district-wide. The software allows me to enter my student's data and track it, as well as share it with their parents/guardians. I would be able to print their record sheet or send it via e-mail.
So will the cost of the program be your final determinate of which test you use?
ReplyDeleteI remember doing the presidents challenge in elementary school and enjoyed it. Would keeping a notebook with the students results be just as good as having it on the computer if you are worried about cost?
ReplyDeleteWhich one are you leaning towards right now?
When I taught elementary PE I would have chosen the cheaper alternative just because of budget. Hopefully your program is well funded enough that you can make a decision based on what works best for you.
ReplyDeleteI have a pretty decent budget, however I would rather spend money on equipment. For this first test I have given each student an index card and will keep track that way. Once I download the software I can add in their scores and track them yearly.
ReplyDeleteThank you for some other informative website. The place else may just I get that kind of information written in such a perfect method? I have a venture that I am simply now running on, and I’ve been at the glance out for such info.
